New USD Front Fork

The most noticeable mechanical upgrade on the 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is the Showa 37mm SFF-BP inverted fork. The outgoing model featured a conventional telescopic front fork. According to Kawasaki, a revised damping setup with a larger piston improves front-end control and helps the chassis feel more stable during corner entry.
The rear suspension setup has also been revised to match the updated front end. Kawasaki has upgraded the rear spring rate, attempting to maintain overall chassis balance. The company says the bike retains its rider-friendly handling character while offering sharper sport-riding dynamics.
4-Piston Radial Front Brakes

Braking hardware has also received substantial upgrades. The 2027 Ninja 650 features radially-mounted 4-piston front brake calipers, replacing the previous model’s axial-mounted 2-piston calipers. The 300mm dual semi-floating discs at the front are retained.
According to Kawasaki, the new setup improves response to lever input and makes braking more linear and controllable. The focus of this upgrade is to enhance rider confidence and front-end feel, along with outright performance.
New 4.3-Inch TFT Display

In addition to mechanical upgrades, the 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 650 also receives a new 4.3-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster. According to Kawasaki, the display has been updated with a new layout, giving the cockpit a more modern appearance.
Smartphone connectivity is available through Kawasaki’s Rideology app. Navigation and voice-command functions are also supported in the 2027 model, although voice-command availability may vary depending on the market.
The bike also continues to feature two rider-selectable modes of Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC). A Kawasaki Quick Shifter is also available, but it is offered as an accessory option, not standard equipment.

Auto India Daily Verdict
The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 650 update isn’t engine-focused, but rather focuses on the chassis, braking, and rider interface. The USD fork and radial 4-piston brakes are the biggest highlights of this update, while the new TFT display and expanded smartphone functionality also refresh the bike on the technology front.
The India launch is not yet officially confirmed, but the current-generation Ninja 650 is already available in Kawasaki India’s lineup. Therefore, we will have to wait for the India-specific announcement of the 2027 model before pricing or launch expectations can be treated as confirmed.
