The most noticeable highlight of the new Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition is its exclusive Midnight Black paint scheme. Hero has complemented this dark color combination with Pearl Red detailing, which can be seen on the fuel tank extensions, pillion grab rails, and Xtreme graphics.

Its red-painted alloy wheels visually distinguish the motorcycle from the standard variants. The overall design retains the muscular character of the existing Xtreme 125R.

The front profile features a compact visor below the angular LED headlamp. The fuel tank extensions are sharply sculpted and extend towards the engine. The split-seat setup, upswept tail section, and compact rear bodywork give the motorcycle a sporty streetfighter-style appearance.

4.2-inch TFT Display and TPMS Are the Main Highlights

The most significant upgrade on the Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition is its 4.2-inch color TFT instrument console. This replaces the digital instrument console found on existing variants.

Riders can pair their smartphones to the motorcycle via Bluetooth connectivity. Functions like turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call notifications, SMS alerts, and music controls can then be accessed on the display. The instrument console also displays tire pressure readings along with essential motorcycle information.

Another major addition to this variant is a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The TPMS monitors the pressure of the front and rear tires and alerts the rider in case of any irregularities.

This feature is an important addition to the 125cc sporty motorcycle segment. While the need for regular tire pressure checks isn’t completely eliminated, the TPMS provides riders with additional assistance in identifying pressure-related issues. According to Hero, the Xtreme 125R is the first motorcycle in the sporty 125cc segment to offer TPMS.

Engine and Mechanical Specifications Remain Unchanged

Despite the technology upgrades, the mechanical specifications of the Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition remain the same as the existing motorcycle. It is powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that develops 11.4hp power at 8,250rpm and 10.5Nm torque at 6,500rpm.

The engine is paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, which transfers power to the rear wheel. Hence, no major mechanical changes have been introduced in the Stealth Edition for performance. Its focus is primarily on technology, safety equipment and styling.

The motorcycle is based on a diamond frame. Suspension duties are handled by 37mm telescopic forks at the front and a seven-step adjustable monoshock at the rear.

The braking setup consists of a 276mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Dual-Channel ABS, Riding Modes, and Cruise Control

Hero has also continued the existing premium equipment on the Stealth Edition. It features dual-channel ABS, which helps prevent the front and rear wheels from locking up during hard braking.

Riders have three selectable riding modes: Rain, Road, and Sport. These modes are designed to adjust throttle response to different surfaces and riding conditions.

Cruise control is also part of this variant. This feature gives this motorcycle an additional convenience advantage in its segment, particularly for riders who regularly take longer rides.

Rivals: TVS Raider 125 and Honda CB125 Hornet

In the Indian market, the Hero Xtreme 125R competes with sporty 125cc motorcycles like the TVS Raider 125 and Honda CB125 Hornet.

With the new Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition, Hero is focused on technology-led differentiation in the segment. Features like a color TFT, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation support, and TPMS distinguish it from standard commuter-oriented 125cc motorcycles.

However, buyers should also consider price, performance, comfort, mileage, and after-sales support when making their final decision. Rs. Priced at rs. 1.16 lakh, the Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition could appeal to customers who prefer premium equipment in the 125cc category.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The launch of the Hero Xtreme 125R Stealth Edition further enhances the existing motorcycle lineup. Its 4.2-inch TFT display and TPMS are practical technology upgrades, while Midnight Black paint and Pearl Red highlights give it a fresh visual identity.

For an additional premium of Rs. 6,700, buyers get not only cosmetic changes but also connected features and tire pressure monitoring. The engine and mechanical package remaining unchanged maintains a familiar riding experience for buyers who prefer the existing Xtreme 125R.

Overall, the Stealth Edition is an interesting move by Hero, targeting the demand for technology and premium features in the sporty 125cc segment.
