6:16 PM IST — Austrian MotoGP Race LIVE: Acosta Wins in Austria
Pedro Acosta has won the 2026 Austrian MotoGP, securing his maiden MotoGP victory at the Red Bull Ring. The result also gives KTM its first MotoGP race win since the 2022 Thailand Grand Prix.
Jorge Martin finishes second, while Marco Bezzecchi takes third to complete the podium. Ai Ogura crosses the line fourth, ahead of Marc Marquez, Brad Binder and Fermin Aldeguer. Francesco Bagnaia, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Johann Zarco complete the top 10.

Lap 16 of 28 is underway, and the battle at the front remains close. Pedro Acosta continues to lead, but Jorge Martin is still within one second of the KTM rider, with just 12 laps remaining.
The Aprilia rider is keeping the pressure on as the top three remain covered by just 1.6 seconds. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez has recovered to sixth place after passing Brad Binder at Turn 3.

Alex Marquez has crashed at Turn 2 during the Austrian MotoGP. The Gresini rider lost the front of the bike on the outside line while Fernandez was making a move on the inside.
The incident brings another major change to the running order as the race continues at the Red Bull Ring.
5:50 PM IST — Austrian MotoGP Race LIVE: Marquez Drops to P7
Marc Marquez is facing a difficult phase of the race. After running wide at Turn 1 on Lap 11, Marquez has dropped to seventh place, with Fermin Aldeguer moving ahead of him on the exit.
Just before that, Brad Binder had also passed Marquez for fifth, while Aldeguer continued to put pressure on the reigning champion. Marquez’s earlier fight for the podium has now turned into a battle to recover positions.

Pedro Acosta has taken the lead on Lap 9, making his move on Jorge Martin at the exit of Turn 1. The KTM rider has produced a strong overtake to move into P1, with 20 laps still remaining in the 28-lap Austrian Grand Prix.
Behind them, Marc Marquez has moved up to fourth, passing Ai Ogura at Turn 3. Marquez is now just under one second behind Marco Bezzecchi in third.

Pedro Acosta has moved up to second place on Lap 4, overtaking Marco Bezzecchi at Turn 2a. Acosta is now just around half a second behind race leader Jorge Martin.
Bezzecchi then ran wide at the final corner and has dropped further down the order, while Marc Marquez is closing in on Ai Ogura for fourth. By Lap 7, Martin and Acosta have opened a gap of more than one second over Bezzecchi in third.

Marco Bezzecchi has moved back into the lead on Lap 2, passing Jorge Martin at Turn 1. Martin quickly responds and retakes P1 at Turn 3, while Ai Ogura and Pedro Acosta close in on the factory RS-GPs.
