Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced an ambitious target for workforce diversity. The company aims to increase women representation in its executive workforce to 20% by 2030.

Currently, women represent over 8% of Hyundai India’s more than 4,000 executive employees. According to the company, around 45% of Management Trainees and Engineer Trainees recruited in 2026 will be women, highlighting a significant shift in the future talent pipeline.

How is Women Representation Increasing at Hyundai India?
According to HMIL, the participation of women professionals is no longer limited to corporate roles. Women employees in the company are increasingly contributing to manufacturing, engineering, R&D, sales, service, corporate functions, and leadership positions.
Hyundai believes that a workforce with diverse experiences and perspectives can strengthen innovation, collaboration, and long-term business growth.

According to company data, women employees recorded a 23% promotion/elevation rate in FY26. HMIL is also focusing on providing learning, development, and leadership opportunities to women professionals, along with transparent performance evaluation and career progression.
