Hyundai October 2026 Sales: Domestic and Exports Both Record Growth
Hyundai Motor India reported total sales of 82,299 units in October 2026. This is the company’s highest-ever monthly total sales figure, including exports. 62,799 units were sold in the domestic market, while 19,500 vehicles were dispatched to overseas markets.
A 16.7% year-on-year growth in domestic sales and a 21.1% increase in exports are positive developments for the company. Driven by growth in both business segments, Hyundai surpassed its previous monthly sales record.
Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, said that strong festive demand and healthy momentum in the domestic and export markets helped the company achieve this sales milestone. He also described the newly launched Hyundai BAYON as important for future growth.
According to the company, BAYON will support Hyundai’s presence in over 50 export markets, including India. It is also expected to reinforce India’s strategic importance as a manufacturing and export hub.
Hyundai Venue Records Its Highest-Ever Monthly Sales

In October 2026, the Hyundai Venue also achieved its best-ever domestic monthly sales record. The company sold 13,017 units of the model that month, marking the Venue’s highest monthly domestic sales figure to date.
Interestingly, the Venue contributed approximately 20.7% to Hyundai’s total domestic sales in October. This means that approximately one in every five vehicles sold in the company’s domestic market was a Venue.
The Venue’s performance is significant for Hyundai’s SUV portfolio. Amid strong demand for compact SUVs in the Indian market, the Venue remains one of the company’s key volume drivers. The October record highlights the model’s popularity during the festive season.

Hyundai’s Record Sales Come After September Quarter Profit Decline
Hyundai October 2026 Sales figures were positive, but the company’s latest financial performance presents a mixed picture. Hyundai Motor India’s consolidated net profit for the September 2026 quarter declined 23.9% year-on-year to Rs. 1,196.16 crore. In the corresponding quarter last year, the company had reported a consolidated net profit of Rs. 1,572.26 crore.
Revenue from operations during this period increased 18.5% to Rs. 20,696.06 crore, compared to Rs. 17,460.82 crore last year. However, total expenses increased faster than revenue. Expenses in the September quarter increased 24% to Rs. 19,302.18 crore.
Increases in material costs and employee expenses also weighed on profitability. Operating profit before tax declined from Rs. 2,125.96 crore to Rs. 1,617.83 crore, while earnings per share fell from Rs. 19.35 to Rs. 14.72.
However, the company showed recovery on a sequential basis. September quarter consolidated net profit increased 34.6% compared to Rs. 888.62 crore in the June quarter. Revenue also increased 26.7% sequentially.
First Half FY27 Performance Remains Under Pressure
Hyundai’s consolidated net profit in the first half of FY26-27 declined 29.1% year-on-year to Rs. 2,084.79 crore. In the corresponding period of FY26, the company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs. 2,941.49 crore.
In contrast, revenue from operations increased by 9.3% to Rs. 37,030.69 crore, from Rs. 33,873.70 crore in the first half of the previous year.
These figures show that despite revenue growth, higher expenses impacted the company’s profitability. October’s record sales performance is therefore significant, as strong volumes can support revenue momentum in future quarters. However, its actual impact on profitability will only be clear in the upcoming financial results.

Auto India Daily Verdict
Hyundai October 2026 Sales performance marks an important milestone for the company. Highest-ever monthly sales of 82,299 units, double-digit growth in the domestic market, and a 21.1% increase in exports are positive signals for the automaker.
The Venue’s record monthly performance of 13,017 units also highlights the strength of the company’s SUV portfolio. The newly launched BAYON is expected to drive additional growth in the domestic and international markets in the future.
However, sales growth and profitability should not be viewed from the same perspective. Despite increased revenue in the September quarter, net profit declined, largely due to pressure from higher expenses. Now, the challenge for Hyundai will be to convert strong sales momentum into sustainable growth and improved profitability.
