The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 most important highlight is its 743cc parallel-twin engine, which is shared with the Himalayan 750. However, there are some differences in the engine hardware of both motorcycles. The Himalayan 750 features an electronic throttle, while the Continental GT 750 uses a cable-actuated throttle setup.

There are also noticeable differences in the exhaust configuration. The Himalayan 750 features a 2-into-1 exhaust system, while the Continental GT 750 comes with twin exhaust pipes. Royal Enfield has not yet revealed the exact power and torque figures of the GT 750.

For reference, the Himalayan 750’s engine produces a maximum power of 55 hp and a peak torque of 63 Nm. Similar output is expected from the Continental GT 750, but final figures will only be clear after official confirmation.

Frame, Suspension, and Braking Setup

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 frame appears to be similar to the design of the existing Continental GT 650. However, changes will be made to the frame to accommodate the larger engine. Royal Enfield has not yet shared detailed chassis specifications.

The suspension setup consists of telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Preload adjustment is provided at both ends. Compared to the GT 650’s progressive front springs and gas-charged rear shocks, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 uses conventional linear front springs and conventional rear springs.

The braking setup sees a significant upgrade. The Continental GT 750 features twin disc brakes at the front, while the existing GT 650 features a single front disc setup. Based on available images, these units appear to be similar to the Himalayan 750’s braking hardware, but Royal Enfield has not yet officially confirmed this detail.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 is showcased in three color options:

  • Master Clean with chrome finish and wire-spoke wheels.
  • Red Line: With chrome finish, wire-spoke wheels, and sporty styling elements.
  • TT Blue: With alloy wheels and tubeless tires.

The Master Clean and Red Line variants feature tubed Vredestein Centauro ST tires with wire-spoke wheels. The TT Blue variant comes with alloy wheels, which take advantage of tubeless tires.

The Red Line and TT Blue versions also feature a small quarter fairing. Their riding position is relatively committed and sporty. The Master Clean variant does not have a fairing, and the ergonomics are comparatively comfortable.

The Teeno versions feature 18-inch wheels and a single-piece seat. A removable seat cowl is provided above the pillion seat, which can be removed as needed. The center stand is not visible in press images, but may be offered as an accessory.

Updated Instrument Console and Switchgear

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 features switchgear inspired by the Himalayan 750, but with metal switch cubes. The instrument console is also different. Maintaining the neo-retro design, the motorcycle features a twin-pod dashboard, with a small TFT display integrated in the lower section of the two analogue needles.

This setup combines traditional cafe racer styling with a modern information display. Royal Enfield has not yet shared details about the TFT’s full functions and connectivity features.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 India Launch Expected in 2027

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 India launch is expected in 2027. Sources suggest the motorcycle could arrive in the first quarter of 2027, but the company has not yet confirmed an official launch date.

The GT 750 could also be interesting in terms of weight. The existing Continental GT 650 has a kerb weight of 214 kg, and available expectations suggest the new 750cc version could be lighter than this. However, confirmation of the final kerb weight is still pending.

Pricing details have also not been revealed. The GT 750 could be positioned above the existing GT 650 due to its larger engine and additional hardware, but actual pricing will be clear at launch.

Powertrain details have not yet been officially revealed. The S6 is expected to use the same basic powertrain as the Flying Flea C6, but its state of tune may differ. A key difference is the chain drive. The C6 features a belt drive, while the S6 uses a chain-driven setup.

The Flying Flea S6 will be offered in Carbon, Yellow, and Gray color options. Availability is expected next year.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 is an important addition to the brand’s 750cc platform. Despite sharing an engine with the Himalayan 750, the cable-actuated throttle, twin exhaust pipes, twin front discs, and cafe racer-specific ergonomics give it a distinct character.

The alloy wheels and tubeless tyres on the TT Blue variant are also practical upgrades, while the twin-pod instrument console maintains the motorcycle’s neo-retro appeal. The most important details now will be its final power output, kerb weight, pricing and India launch timeline. If Royal Enfield launches it in 2027 with competitive pricing, the Continental GT 750 could further strengthen the brand’s presence in the premium cafe racer segment.
