The 2026 Audi Q3 has received several changes, from its exterior design to cabin layout and features. This time, the SUV gets features like split-style lighting, dual digital displays, a panoramic sunroof, and 3-zone climate control.

A key highlight is the Quattro all-wheel-drive (AWD) system with a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, which sets it apart from rivals like the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

The exterior of the new-generation Audi Q3 is more modern and distinctive than its predecessor. The front features a split-style headlight setup, with LED daytime running lights (DRLs) in the upper section and bumper-mounted digital matrix LED headlights.

The headlights also feature dedicated washers. According to Audi, some of the lighting system’s functionality can also help project relevant ADAS information onto the road.

The front fascia features a honeycomb-pattern grille and prominent air-intake elements on the lower bumper. On the side profile, 18-inch alloy wheels are standard, while a chrome windowline, slim roof rails, and flared wheel arches enhance the SUV’s premium look.

The rear section features split LED taillights and a slim light strip connecting the lower lighting units. An illuminated Audi logo, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a rear wiper-washer setup are also included. Overall, the Q3’s design is more contemporary than before, but the SUV’s familiar premium identity remains.

Interior and Features: Premium Cabin with Dual Screens

The most noticeable change in the cabin is the curved digital display setup. It features a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 11.9-inch digital driver display. The dashboard layout is relatively clean, with touch-enabled controls located on the four-spoke hexagonal steering wheel.

The drive selector located on the steering column helps make the center console cleaner. This area includes a wireless phone charger, cupholders, and an electronic parking brake. The front seats come with leatherette upholstery and also feature powered and heated functionality. The driver’s seat has a memory function, which is also linked to the settings of the powered outside rear-view mirrors.

The feature list includes a panoramic sunroof, 3-zone climate control, a 12-speaker Sonos sound system, a colored head-up display (HUD), and a powered tailgate. Safety equipment includes an ADAS suite with nine airbags, a rear parking camera, hill-hold, and hill-climb assist. Note that the supplied specifications indicate a rear camera, not a 360-degree surround-view camera.

Engine, Performance, and Quattro AWD

The 2026 Audi Q3 is powered by a 2.0-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. This engine produces 204 hp and 320 Nm of torque. Transmission is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels.

According to Audi’s claimed figures, the 2026 Audi Q3 can achieve 0-100kph in 7.1 seconds, while the top speed is 229kph. The Quattro AWD system is this SUV’s key differentiator, especially for buyers who want confident performance on highways and changing road conditions, rather than just city driving.

Having AWD doesn’t automatically guarantee off-roading capability; actual performance will also depend on tires, ground clearance, and driving conditions.

How different is it from the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA?

The 2026 Audi Q3 direct competition is entry-level luxury SUVs like the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. According to the source, the Q3 is the only SUV in its segment to offer AWD, while the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA come with front-wheel-drive layouts.

This means the Q3’s appeal isn’t limited to its badge and cabin features. Buyers enjoy a combination of a 204hp turbo-petrol engine, 320Nm of torque, and an all-wheel-drive system. However, price, variant-wise equipment, rear-seat comfort, and ownership costs should also be compared before making a final purchase decision.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The biggest upgrades to the 2026 Audi Q3 are its fresh design, technology-focused cabin, and standard Quattro AWD setup. The starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 51.99 lakh places it in premium territory, making it more relevant for buyers who want performance and all-weather driving confidence along with a luxury badge.

The announced pricing of the Nova variant has made the entry point clear, but the value proposition of both trims can be better judged only after the Zenith price is announced. If AWD is your priority, the new Q3 is a worth shortlisting option.
