Ducati has also updated the V4 S variant along with the standard Panigale V4. The V4 S gets premium Öhlins suspension and additional customisation options. The company has not yet announced a timeline for the 2027 model’s India launch, but given the pricing of current-generation motorcycles, the updated version will remain positioned in the premium superbike segment.

2027 Ducati Panigale V4 Engine: Now 218hp Power

2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S superbike leaned over in a racetrack corner, showcasing its racing performance, 1,103cc engine, 218 HP power output and 187 kg weight without fuel

The new 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 features the familiar 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale, liquid-cooled engine. In Euro 5-compliant specifications, this engine now produces 218hp at 13,500rpm, a 2hp increase compared to the previous model. Peak torque is 120.6Nm at 11,000rpm, compared to 120.9Nm at 11,250rpm previously.

Ducati has worked to reduce power losses in the engine through revised air intake, lubrication circuit and exhaust system. According to the company, the most noticeable gains in power delivery are seen between 12,000rpm to 14,000rpm. This should benefit high-revving performance and acceleration on the track.

Gearing has also been changed. The motorcycle now uses a 17/42 sprocket combination, which was earlier 16/41. Also, the rev limiter from second to fifth gear has been raised to 15,000rpm. According to Ducati’s Vallelunga circuit testing, these changes helped the 2027 model record a 0.4 second faster lap time than the 2026 version.

To further enhance performance, Ducati also offers an optional Akrapovic Full Racing Exhaust PRO. According to the company’s claimed figures, this exhaust increases power by 11 hp and torque by 7 Nm. The exhaust setup also reduces the motorcycle’s weight by 6.6 kg, compared to the standard model’s 191 kg figure. Buyers should separately check whether this racing exhaust is suitable for road-use legality and local regulations.

Chassis Updates for Better Cornering Control

Along with the engine, Ducati has also worked on the chassis of the Panigale V4. The motorcycle retains the monocoque front frame, but the lateral stiffness of the front frame has been reduced by 12%. Ducati says this improves front tire grip and rider feedback at high lean angles.

Here’s an important point: a reduction in stiffness doesn’t simply mean a weaker chassis. Such tuning changes can be made to better balance front-end feel and corner entry during track riding. Real-world benefits will also depend on riding style, tires, and track conditions.

The standard Panigale V4 gets fully adjustable Showa USD front forks and a Sachs rear monoshock. The V4 S features Öhlins suspension units, which come with a Smart EC 3.0 electronic control system. The V4 S has a claimed kerb weight of 187kg, while the standard model’s figure is 191kg; these figures are without fuel, according to source specifications.

The V4 S also gets track-focused adjustable clip-on handlebars, which raise the handlebar height by 10mm. According to Ducati, this change has been made to reduce the rider’s physical effort while improving leverage and control during direction changes.

New Electronics: Dynamic Engine Brake and Race Brake Control

The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 electronic package includes two significant additions: Dynamic Engine Brake and Race Brake Control. Both systems focus on making the motorcycle more predictable when braking and cornering.

The Dynamic Engine Brake system utilizes the Ducati Vehicle Observation algorithm and replaces the previous Engine Brake Control system. Its objective is to manage engine braking behavior in corners and at high lean angles, giving the rider better control over the motorcycle.

Race Brake Control is designed to improve the rear wheel’s braking contribution. Ducati has introduced both features as first-time additions to the Panigale V4.

Existing rider aids also continue. Both variants feature ride and power modes, lean-sensitive electronic controls, and a bi-directional quickshifter. These systems help manage the powerful engine according to different riding conditions and track requirements.

2027 Ducati Panigale V4 S Gets More Customization Options

The 2027 Panigale V4 S is part of the Ducati Factory Made customization program for the first time. Through this program, buyers can personalize the motorcycle’s color and livery.

According to Ducati, a total of 11 color options are available, five of which are inspired by Automobili Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program. Buyers can also choose between Corse and Performance liveries.

Additional accessories include the Front Brake PRO and PRO+ packages, an STM dry clutch, and adjustable footpegs. These options may appeal to riders who want to customize their motorcycle for track use or personal preferences. Availability and final equipment may vary by market.

2027 Ducati Panigale V4 India Launch and Expected Price

According to Ducati’s announced schedule, the 2027 Panigale V4 and V4 S will reach European dealerships in March 2027, while availability in the US market is expected from April 2027. Launch timelines for India and other markets have not yet been announced.

In the UK, the standard Panigale V4 is priced at GBP 25,495 and the V4 S at GBP 30,995. According to the rupee conversions provided in the source, this equates to approximately ₹32.16 lakh and ₹39.10 lakh. This is the currency conversion of UK pricing, not the confirmed ex-showroom pricing for India.

The listed prices of the current 2026 Panigale V4 in India are ₹32.05 lakh for the standard model and ₹39.01 lakh for the V4 S. Prices are likely to increase when the updated model arrives in India, but Ducati has not yet confirmed official Indian pricing.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The 2027 Ducati Panigale V4 update isn’t limited to just a power increase. Revised engine breathing, longer gearing, chassis tuning, and new braking electronics combine to refine the motorcycle’s track-focused performance. The V4 S’s Öhlins electronic suspension and expanded customization package create additional appeal for premium buyers.

The most important unanswered questions for Indian buyers right now are the launch timeline and final pricing. Until Ducati announces India-specific details, it’s best to view the updated Panigale V4 as an upcoming international superbike update rather than a confirmed India launch.
