Reports suggest that this model could also be evaluated for the Indian market in the future, although the company has not yet officially announced an India launch timeline.

The Neue Klasse Platform Isn’t Just a New Base
Over the past few years, BMW has launched several electric models, but most of them were developed on existing architectures. With the New BMW iX3, the company introduces a dedicated electric platform for the first time, designed with future software, battery technology, and charging ecosystem in mind.

The new BMW iX3 50 xDrive uses sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology. The SUV is offered with a 108.7 kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed driving range of up to 805 km according to the WLTP cycle.
This figure is considered quite impressive in the luxury electric SUV segment and appears to be designed with long-distance touring in mind. Real-world range may vary depending on driving conditions and weather, but according to official certification, this is one of BMW’s most capable electric models.
Hundreds of Kilometers in a Few Minutes with 400 kW Fast Charging
Charging technology is also a major highlight of this SUV
BMW has provided 400 kW DC fast charging support. The company claims that just 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 372 km of additional range, while charging the battery from 10 to 80 percent takes approximately 21 minutes.
In addition, BMW has also provided bidirectional charging support. This means Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Vehicle-to-Home (V2H), and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functionality will be available with future compatible infrastructure.

469 bhp Power, Strong Focus on Performance
In terms of powertrain, the New BMW iX3 50 comes with a xDrive dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration.
Combined output is 469 bhp and peak torque of 645 Nm. According to official figures, the electric SUV accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
BMW says that the sixth-generation eDrive technology is more efficient than its predecessor and delivers better performance.
Exterior Design Shows the Direction of Future BMW EVs

The vertically positioned kidney grilles at the front have been integrated into a completely new style. Slim LED headlamps and a cleaner bumper design give the SUV a modern appearance. Flush door handles and smooth body surfaces improve aerodynamic efficiency.
BMW claims the SUV’s drag coefficient is only 0.24, which plays an important role in achieving improved efficiency and driving range.
In terms of dimensions, the New BMW iX3 has an overall length of 4,782 mm. For practicality, a 520-liter boot space has been provided, which expands to 1,750 liters with the rear seats folded. A 58-liter frunk is also available at the front.
New Standard in-Cabin Digital Experience
The interior has also been completely redesigned.
The traditional instrument cluster on the dashboard has been replaced by a full-width windscreen projection display, while a 17.9-inch touchscreen on the center console works with the latest BMW operating system.
Buyers can also choose an optional 3D Head-Up Display. The new multifunction steering wheel and uncluttered dashboard layout give the cabin a more premium and futuristic feel than before.
Global Production to Begin in Hungary
BMW has confirmed that the new BMW iX3 will be produced at its Debrecen plant in Hungary. Initially, the iX3 50 xDrive variant will be launched in the global markets and in the future, many more New Klasse models will also be introduced on this platform.
The company has not yet announced any official timeline for the India launch, but considering BMW’s strategy of expanding its premium EV portfolio, the possibility of this model’s entry in the future cannot be ruled out.
