Kia has unveiled the new-generation Stonic in Pakistan. Globally, it is the third-generation Stonic and comes with significant updates compared to the previous model.
The New Kia Stonic features a fresh exterior design, a 1.0-liter Turbo GDI petrol engine, a 7-speed DCT, and up to 183mm of ground clearance.

The Pakistan-spec model has been introduced in two variants—Turbo S and Turbo X. Both variants feature the same engine and gearbox, while differences exist in features and ground clearance.

The design of the New Kia Stonic is significantly different from its predecessor
The new Stonic has been updated to reflect Kia’s latest global design language. The front profile features Star Map LED DRLs, LED headlamps, and lower LED fog lamps, visually distinguishing the car from the previous-generation model.
Kia has also revised the front grille and bumper design. The overall styling now closely resembles the design direction of the brand’s latest models like the Sportage and Sorento.
The Turbo S variant comes with 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/55 R17 tires, while the Turbo X features 16-inch alloy wheels and 195/55 R16 tires.

Both the Turbo S and Turbo X share the same engine, transmission, and drivetrain setup. Therefore, the higher Turbo S variant focuses on extra equipment and higher ground clearance, rather than additional performance.

The Pakistan-spec Stonic Turbo S has a ground clearance of 183mm, while the Turbo X has a ground clearance of 165mm. The Turbo S measures 4,165mm in length, 1,760mm in width, and 1,520mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,580mm.

The 183mm clearance could be useful for Pakistan’s uneven roads and speed breakers, although real-world assessment of actual ride quality and underbody clearance can only be made after driving.

Extra Features in Turbo S
The Turbo S is positioned as the higher-spec variant. It comes with LED projection headlamps, LED front fog lamps, dynamic welcome lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a power tilt-and-slide sunroof.
The interior also features cloth and faux leather seats, a two-tone theme, an electrochromic rear-view mirror, and a smart key with push-button start.
The Turbo X comes with a comparatively simpler specification, but its engine and gearbox are the same as the Turbo S.
8-Inch Infotainment System in the Interior
The New Stonic’s cabin features an 8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. A 4.2-inch Supervision TFT LCD instrument display is provided for the driver.
A six-speaker audio system and a bio-artificial leather steering wheel are also available.
Safety Features: Six Airbags
For safety, the new Kia Stonic Turbo S comes with six airbags, along with ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-Start Assist, Multi-Collision Brake, and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.
Features like parking sensors, a rear camera, and TPMS are also part of the equipment list.

Will the new Kia Stonic come to India?
There hasn’t been official confirmation of an India launch yet. Therefore, its appearance in Pakistan isn’t necessarily an indication of an India launch.
Kia unveiled the new Stonic in the global market in 2025. The global version also offers a 1.0 T-GDI and 115 PS 48V mild-hybrid powertrain options, with transmission options varying depending on the market.
It wouldn’t be accurate to directly equate the Pakistan-spec Stonic’s specifications with the India-spec model, if Kia introduces it in India in the future.
