Porsche is making a major entry into the luxury electric SUV segment in India today. The Porsche Cayenne Electric is scheduled to make its India debut on September 30, 2026.
It is the all-electric version of the Cayenne family and will be positioned alongside the existing petrol, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid Cayenne models. Its pricing in India has already been announced, while its physical showcase/debut will take place today.

The Porsche Cayenne Electric is being introduced in two main variants – the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric. The standard model is priced in India starting at around Rs. 1.77 crore, while the Turbo Electric is priced at around Rs. 2.27–2.28 crore, ex-showroom.

Porsche Cayenne Electric: India Debut Today
The September 30 event marks an important addition to Porsche’s electric portfolio in India. The Cayenne Electric was developed globally as a technology-focused electric SUV, but its overall silhouette remains the same as the familiar Cayenne.
The front profile features a closed-off design instead of a conventional grille, while air vents are provided on the sides of the bumper to cool the battery and electrical components. A full-width LED light bar and illuminated Porsche lettering at the rear give the SUV a distinctive electric identity.
113kWh Battery and 800V Architecture
The most important technical highlight of the Porsche Cayenne Electric is its 113kWh high-voltage battery pack. According to Porsche’s official technical information, the battery has been developed with a function-integrated design, which helps with weight distribution and body rigidity. The SUV also features an 800V electrical architecture.
Charging capability is also one of the Cayenne Electric’s strong points. According to reports, the SUV can support up to 400kW DC charging, and 10–80 percent charging is possible in roughly 16 minutes on a suitable high-power charger.
Porsche has also placed considerable focus on battery efficiency and thermal management. The company’s objective is not only to deliver high performance, but also to maintain a usable range for long-distance driving.
Up to 1,156 PS of power, 0-100 kmph in 2.5 seconds
When it comes to performance, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric is quite aggressive in terms of numbers. According to official Porsche data, the Turbo Electric generates up to 1,156 PS of power with Launch Control and accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 2.5 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 260 kmph.
The standard Cayenne Electric is no ordinary luxury SUV in terms of performance either. According to Porsche data, its output reaches 442 PS with Launch Control, a 0-100 kmph time of 4.8 seconds, and a top speed of 230 kmph.
Both variants feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. This means the Cayenne Electric is not only a luxury- and range-focused EV, but also maintains Porsche’s traditional performance character.

Range Over 600 Km
In terms of range, the Porsche Cayenne Electric can travel over 600 km according to global WLTP data. Porsche’s current international model data lists a model-range figure of 568–641 km for the standard Cayenne Electric, while the Turbo Electric lists a range of 557–622 km.
India-focused reports mention a claimed range of around 642 km for the standard version and around 623 km for the Turbo Electric. It will be important to view the exact India certification/specification in the context of the variant and testing cycle.
Porsche Cayenne Electric Interior: Digital & Premium Cabin
In the cabin, the Cayenne Electric features a technology-heavy dashboard. A 14.5-inch curved infotainment touchscreen is placed in the center, along with a digital instrument display in front of the driver. Porsche also offers an optional 14.9-inch passenger display.
Other premium features include electrically adjustable front seats, ventilated front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic glass roof, and wireless phone charging. A Bose setup is available for the sound system, while higher-end audio options may also be offered.
The Cayenne Electric’s cabin combines modern EV technology with a traditional Porsche driver-focused layout.
Expected Price of the Porsche Cayenne Electric in India
There is no longer any uncertainty regarding pricing in India, as Porsche has already announced pricing.
