Skoda Auto India is all set to launch the updated Skoda Slavia Facelift 2026 in India on October 6, 2026. Production of the refreshed midsize sedan has already started at the company’s facility in Chakan, Pune, while bookings are currently open for a token amount of Rs. 15,000.
This will be the first comprehensive update for the Slavia since its introduction in the Indian market over four years ago.

The facelift brings changes to the exterior design, cabin technology and automatic transmission options, while the existing petrol engine lineup continues. One of the biggest changes is the introduction of a new 8-speed automatic gearbox with the 1.0-litre TSI engine, replacing the existing 6-speed automatic.

The Skoda Slavia Facelift 2026 retains the overall silhouette of the current sedan but gets several styling updates to give it a fresher appearance. The headlamps and tail-lamps have been revised, while the front and rear bumpers have also been restyled.
The updated sedan also gets sportier-looking 16-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the tail-lamps now feature sequential turn indicators, adding a more premium touch to the design.
Skoda is also introducing new exterior colour options with the facelift. The newly added shades include Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige, giving buyers more choices compared with the existing model.
Overall, the changes are evolutionary rather than a complete redesign, but they should help the Slavia maintain a fresh appearance against newer rivals in the midsize sedan segment.
Bigger Screens and More Premium Features Inside
The cabin layout of the Skoda Slavia Facelift 2026 remains largely familiar, but Skoda has upgraded some of the key technology. The existing 10-inch infotainment system has been replaced by a new 10.1-inch touchscreen unit featuring updated graphics.
The digital driver’s display has also been upgraded. The facelift gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, replacing the current 8-inch unit.
Feature additions and upgrades include a single-pane sunroof, 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a rear-seat massaging function borrowed from the Kushaq.
The rear-seat massager is particularly interesting because this feature is not usually associated with the midsize sedan segment. It could add another premium angle to the Slavia facelift, especially for buyers who frequently use the rear seats.
Skoda has also worked on the sedan’s air-conditioning system. The facelift replaces the existing fixed-geometry AC compressor with a variable-geometry unit, which is aimed at improving AC performance.

1.0 TSI Gets New 8-Speed Automatic
Under the bonnet, Skoda is retaining the existing petrol engine lineup. The entry-level engine continues to be the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol, producing 115hp and 178Nm.
However, the transmission combination has changed significantly. The 1.0 TSI will continue with a 6-speed manual gearbox, but its existing 6-speed automatic will be replaced by a new 8-speed automatic transmission.
This is one of the most important mechanical changes on the facelifted sedan. The additional ratios could help improve refinement and cruising characteristics, although real-world performance and efficiency will only become clearer after the car reaches customers.
The more powerful 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine continues to produce 150hp and 250Nm. It will remain available exclusively with a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The continuation of both engines means Skoda is not making a major change to the Slavia’s powertrain strategy with this facelift. Instead, the company has focused on improving the automatic option for the 1.0-litre variant and adding more technology.

The facelift is expected to be priced at a premium over the current model. The existing Slavia is priced between Rs. 9.99 lakh and Rs. 18.29 lakh, ex-showroom.
The updated model is expected to sit in the Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh price bracket, although the final variant-wise pricing will be announced around the launch.
The Skoda Slavia Facelift 2026 will continue to compete against the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus. With the facelift, Skoda is essentially trying to strengthen the Slavia’s position through updated styling, more premium cabin technology and a new automatic transmission.
