Tata has attempted to give the entry-level Legend variant a more premium cabin treatment compared to the standard Smart+.

Infotainment and Connected Features in the Pure L

The Pure L starts at Rs. 13.79 lakh. This trim adds features like a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear camera, an 8-speaker audio system, cruise control, and TPMS.

It also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and rear wiper/washers.

Above the Pure L is the Pure L(O) variant, priced starting at Rs. 14.29 lakh. It adds the Pure L’s features, along with a panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.

This variant is positioned as an additional middle step in the Legend Series lineup.

Pure+ L with Ventilated Seats and a Powered Driver’s Seat

The Pure+ L is one of the key variants of the Tata Sierra Legend Series, bringing higher-spec features to a lower price point. Its starting price is Rs. 14.99 lakh.

This trim comes with ventilated front seats, a 6-way powered driver seat, thigh-support extension, Boss Mode, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a leatherette interior finish.

Most importantly, a 160hp 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo-petrol automatic option is also available in the Pure+ L. This also becomes the entry point for turbo-petrol engines in the Legend Series.

The top-spec variant of the Tata Sierra Legend Series is the Adventure+ L, with a starting price of Rs. 16.99 lakh. This variant offers features like a 360-degree camera, frequency-dependent dampers, terrain modes, dual 12.3-inch screens, front parking sensors, a reclining rear seat, ambient lighting, a cooled glovebox, and a wireless charging pad.

The Adventure+ L also offers powertrain options like petrol DCT, diesel MT, diesel AT, and turbo-petrol AT.

Tata Sierra Legend Series Powertrain Options

The Sierra’s existing 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel powertrains have been continued in the Legend Series. Transmission availability varies depending on the variant, including manual and automatic options.

A notable update is the availability of a 160hp turbo-petrol automatic option with the Pure+ L. The Adventure+ L also gets a 1.5-liter petrol DCT option.

What will happen to the existing Sierra variants?

Tata has not discontinued the existing Sierra trims. The current lineup is being continued as the Signature Series, while the Legend Series offers additional variants and feature combinations in parallel.

This means buyers now have multiple configurations available between the standard Signature Series and the feature-focused Legend Series when choosing a Sierra.

Auto India Daily Verdict

The main change to the Tata Sierra Legend Series is not in the exterior design or engine lineup, but in the variant strategy and feature distribution. Tata has introduced some of the comfort and technology features of higher trims in variants with lower price points.

From the Smart+ L starting at Rs. 11.99 lakh to the Adventure+ L starting at Rs. 16.99 lakh, the Legend Series adds additional choices to the Sierra variant ladder. Final on-road pricing will vary depending on city, insurance, and applicable charges.
