The Hero Classic Concept was showcased alongside the company’s Scrambler Concept. Its design is inspired by India’s artistic heritage, traditional craftsmanship and timeless motorcycle styling. Currently, Hero has not shared any official information regarding the production version, engine capacity or launch timeline of this concept.
But its overall design certainly raises the possibility that Hero could expand its presence in the entry-level 350cc retro motorcycle segment in the future.

Hero Classic Concept Design: Retro Styling with Premium Details

The front section of the Hero Classic Concept is developed around a large round headlamp housed within a gold-finished nacelle. An H-shaped LED signature within the headlamp adds a modern touch to the concept. Polished metal fork shrouds, blue-painted fork legs, and a chrome front mudguard complement the motorcycle.
The motorcycle uses wire-spoke wheels and narrow tires, further strengthening its classic character. Detailing elements such as brown grips on the handlebar area and a gold-finished brake-fluid reservoir are also visible. Overall, the front profile appears inspired by traditional roadsters, but the color combination and premium finishes give it a distinctive appearance.
Fuel Tank and Leather Seat Give It a Handcrafted Look

The fuel tank design of this concept is its most noticeable element. The tank features a polished metal finish on a major portion, while deep blue sections and ornate gold panels line the sides. These gold inserts feature floral-style patterns, creating the impression of handcrafted detailing.
A brown leather stripe runs down the center of the tank, extending towards the rider seat. The long leather saddle features diamond-pattern stitching, further highlighting the motorcycle’s vintage-inspired character.
Hero hasn’t focused solely on a retro shape, but rather combined different materials and finishes to create a premium design theme.

Exposed Engine and Chrome Exhaust Highlight the Side Profile

The side profile clearly shows the mechanical layout of the Hero Classic Concept. The motorcycle features polished metallic engine covers and gold-finished cooling fins. Blue-painted structural sections visually connect the front, center, and rear sections.
A low-mounted long chrome exhaust is provided on the right side, extending past the rear wheel. The bodywork is kept close to the engine, giving the motorcycle a low-slung and elongated profile.
In the rear section, compact circular tail lamps are centrally mounted on the blue rear mudguard. The seat is narrow on the rear side and positioned directly above the rear wheel. Twin rear suspension units are also clearly visible, featuring a combination of blue, silver, and gold finishes.
The wire-spoke rear wheel, narrow tire, and chrome detailing continue the design theme of the front section.
Circular Instrument Display and Minimalist Cockpit

The cockpit of the Hero Classic Concept also follows traditional styling. A small circular instrument display is placed ahead of the handlebar, featuring a blue radial graphic. The metallic blue handlebar is mounted with exposed polished clamps.
The overall arrangement is relatively minimal, with the fuel tank, round headlamp, and fork assembly facing the rider as the dominant design elements.
Could the Hero Classic Concept Challenge the Royal Enfield Classic 350?
The Hero Classic Concept’s design clearly targets retro motorcycle buyers. Its combination of polished metal surfaces, leather detailing, wire-spoke wheels, and traditional round headlamp brings it closer to the design territory of motorcycles like the Royal Enfield Classic 350.
However, it would be premature to call it a direct Royal Enfield Classic 350 rival just yet. Hero has not confirmed production, nor revealed engine specifications, performance figures, pricing, or a launch timeline. Therefore, its entry into the 350cc segment is currently a possibility, not a confirmed development.
If Hero converts this concept into a production motorcycle in the future, its engine configuration, pricing, ride comfort, and real-world performance will determine its market positioning.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The Hero Classic Concept is one of the interesting motorcycle showcases at EICMA 2026. Its design moves beyond typical retro styling and focuses on handcrafted detailing, premium materials, and exposed mechanical elements.
Hero already has different design directions, such as the Scrambler Concept and Xpulse 450. The Classic Concept adds another dimension to the brand’s premium motorcycle ambitions. It remains to be seen whether the company converts this design study into a production model.
For now, a Royal Enfield Classic 350 rivalry is an interesting possibility, but official confirmation will have to be awaited.
