According to the company, engineering inspiration from the Hero MotoSports Team Rally and Dakar competition was also behind the development of this concept.

Hero Scrambler Concept Design: Retro Styling with Dakar Influence

In terms of design, the Hero Scrambler Concept’s appearance is inspired by traditional scrambler motorcycles. Its front section features a round headlamp with an H-shaped lighting signature. A compact smoked flyscreen sits above the headlamp, and red handguards flank both handlebars.
The motorcycle’s high-mounted red front mudguard, long fork guards, and gold-finished wire-spoke wheels give it a proper adventure-inspired character. Block-pattern tires also highlight the mixed-surface riding theme. The overall front profile showcases a combination of retro design and rally-inspired hardware.
The fuel tank features bright red side sections, striped graphics, and a black upper panel. A metal platform is also visible above the tank, which resembles a compact utility rack. These elements give the concept practical Scrambler styling, although Hero hasn’t shared details about its actual purpose or luggage-carrying capacity.
Exposed Chassis, Ribbed Seat, and Utility-Focused Design
The Hero Scrambler Concept’s black trellis-style chassis is clearly visible in the side profile. The motorcycle also features substantial protection below the large radiator and engine. Silver side panels create a contrasting appearance with the red fuel tank and brown ribbed seat.

Its center section is relatively narrow, while the rear bodywork appears compact and minimalist. Gold wire-spoke wheels are provided at both the front and rear. This setup, along with block-pattern tires, further strengthens the motorcycle’s scrambler-inspired character.
The rear section features a high-set tail, compact circular tail lamps, and a minimal mudguard arrangement. A large exhaust system is also visible on the right side, rising upwards near the rear wheel. A rear disc brake is also among the concept’s visible hardware details.

Hero MotoSports and Dakar Rally Connection
Hero MotoCorp has connected the Scrambler Concept to its rally racing experience. The company says the motorcycle’s design reflects inspiration from the Hero MotoSports Team Rally and Dakar competitions.
The Dakar Rally is one of the world’s toughest off-road competitions, where motorcycles face extreme terrain and demanding conditions. The experience gained from the rally program could be useful for Hero in developing premium adventure and off-road motorcycles.
However, Hero has not yet confirmed whether the production version of the Hero Scrambler Concept will directly utilize Dakar-tested technology or hardware. For now, the company has only highlighted the concept’s design inspiration.
Engine and Technical Specifications: Details Awaited

The mechanical specifications of the Hero Scrambler Concept have not yet been revealed. The company has not shared any official information regarding engine capacity, power output, torque, gearbox, and suspension setup.
Details of the braking hardware, electronics package, riding modes and suspension travel are also currently unavailable. Hence, it would not be correct to consider it a mechanically related motorcycle to the Hero Xpulse 450 just yet. Both concepts certainly have a rally-inspired approach, but Hero has not given any confirmation about the platform or powertrain of the Hero Scrambler Concept.
At this stage, the visible design elements of the motorcycle establish its identity. The round headlamp, ribbed seat, exposed chassis, utility-style tank rack and wire-spoke wheels give it a visually distinct direction from the Xpulse family.
India Launch: Will Hero Bring the Scrambler to Production?
Hero MotoCorp has not announced a production version of the Scrambler Concept, its India launch timeline, or its expected price. The company showcased it as a concept motorcycle at EICMA 2026.
If a production version arrives in the future, it could add a new Scrambler-style option to Hero’s premium motorcycle portfolio. However, it’s too early to draw conclusions about any specific competitors or market positioning, as the engine and final specifications haven’t been revealed.
Auto India Daily Verdict
The Hero Scrambler Concept is one of the interesting showcases at EICMA 2026. Its retro-inspired design, Dakar rally influence, exposed chassis and distinctive red-and-gold styling give it a distinct identity from the Xpulse range.
The biggest question now is its production future. If Hero converts this concept into a production motorcycle, the engine, suspension and off-road hardware will decide its positioning. For now, it should be seen as a promising design preview, not as a confirmed upcoming production bike.
