Porsche Cayenne Electric – September 30
Among the New Car Launches in September 2026, the Porsche Cayenne Electric will be one of the most expensive and powerful models. Porsche is scheduled to launch the electric SUV in India on September 30, 2026.
The Cayenne Electric is available internationally in Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric forms. It uses a 113kWh battery pack and offers a claimed range of up to 642km, depending on the variant.
Performance will be one of its biggest highlights. The range-topping version can produce up to 1,156PS, with power being delivered to all four wheels. The SUV will also feature adaptive air suspension, large alloy wheels and a technology-focused cabin.
Inside, buyers can expect a 14.5-inch curved infotainment display, 14.9-inch passenger screen, augmented-reality head-up display, panoramic sunroof, four-zone climate control, ventilated seats and premium audio equipment.
Skoda Slavia Facelift – September 2026
Skoda’s popular midsize sedan is also getting an update. The Slavia facelift has already opened for bookings, while its official pricing is expected to be announced in September.
The updated Slavia gets cosmetic revisions including a redesigned front grille, tweaked headlamps and LED DRLs, a revised bumper, new alloy wheels and updated rear lighting. The cabin is also expected to receive additional comfort and technology features.
Among the expected additions are a larger touchscreen infotainment system, 10.24-inch digital driver display, automatic climate control, electric sunroof, ventilated seats and even a rear-seat massager.
The engine options are expected to remain familiar. The facelift will continue with the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines, although the smaller engine is expected to receive a new 8-speed automatic transmission alongside its manual option.

Kia Sorento – September 4
Kia Sorento will be one of the biggest mainstream SUV launches in the September 2026 car launch calendar. The three-row SUV is scheduled to arrive in India on September 4 and will sit above the Seltos in Kia’s line-up.
The Sorento is expected to be positioned against SUVs such as the Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner. Its cabin is likely to offer a premium experience with large displays, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.
The most interesting powertrain will be the 1.6-litre turbo-petrol strong hybrid with AWD, developing around 238hp and 380Nm. A 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine is also expected.
Kia is expected to manufacture the Sorento locally at its Anantapur plant, which could help the company maintain a more competitive price.

Renault Triber Turbo – September 2026
Renault could add more punch to its compact MPV with the Triber Turbo, which is expected to arrive in September.
The major update will be the introduction of a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This unit is expected to produce around 100PS and 160Nm, giving the Triber considerably more performance than the existing naturally aspirated petrol version.
The MPV could also adopt Renault’s updated RGEP architecture, which is a more localized evolution of the current CMF-A+ platform. Minor exterior and equipment changes are also expected.
Renault has not yet confirmed whether the turbo engine will be available with an automatic transmission. The existing naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to continue alongside the new turbo unit.

BMW i7 Facelift – September 11
The electric counterpart to BMW’s flagship sedan will also receive its mid-cycle update in September. The BMW i7 facelift is scheduled for launch alongside the updated 7 Series on September 11.
The facelift will bring a redesigned front end with an illuminated kidney grille, revised split LED headlamps with crystal-style elements and a reworked bumper. The rear section is expected to get slimmer tail lamps and subtle styling revisions.
The interior will be another major focus, with BMW expected to introduce its latest Panoramic iDrive display system, an updated central screen and an optional passenger display. The famous 31.3-inch 8K rear Theater Screen will continue to be a major highlight.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift – September 5

BMW 7 Series Facelift – September 11
BMW will complete its flagship sedan update with the 7 Series facelift, also scheduled for September 11.
The revised luxury sedan will feature a cleaner front-end design, an illuminated kidney grille and updated split headlamps. The rear will also receive slimmer tail lamps, while the cabin will benefit from BMW’s latest digital interface and technology upgrades.
The equipment list is expected to remain extensive, including a large central touchscreen, passenger display, premium Bowers & Wilkins audio system, ambient lighting and seats with heating, ventilation, massage and memory functions.
Power will continue to come from six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The expected 740i xDrive produces around 400hp and 580Nm, while the 740d xDrive delivers approximately 313hp and 670Nm.
Other Cars to Watch in September and Beyond

The Hyundai Bayon is one such model. It could arrive around the September-October festive season, although Hyundai has not announced a confirmed launch date. The SUV would potentially slot between the Venue and Creta in the company’s portfolio.
The hybrid space is also expected to become increasingly competitive, with models such as the Renault Duster Hybrid, Kia Seltos Hybrid and Hyundai Creta Hybrid being discussed for the Indian market. However, these models do not currently have fixed September launch dates.
Cars That Are Not September Launches
There are also several models that frequently appear on online September 2026 launch lists but should not be counted among the confirmed launches.
The new-generation Audi Q3, for example, is expected to go on sale in India in October rather than September. Similarly, the India launch of the Skoda Superb diesel has reportedly moved to 2027.
The Volvo EX90 and ES90 were unveiled in India in August, but their retail sales are expected to begin later. Therefore, these models should not be included in the confirmed September 2026 new car launches list.
