Zontes ZT853-R Design: Aggressive Streetfighter Styling

The Zontes ZT853-R design carries an aggressive streetfighter character with sharp body panels and a compact headlamp assembly. The motorcycle’s exposed mechanical components give it a sporty appearance, while aerodynamic winglets are also provided on the front section. A full-LED lighting setup complements its modern design.
Carbon-fiber components have been used on several body sections of this motorcycle. This could contribute to weight reduction along with premium appeal. A major highlight of the rear section is the aluminum single-sided swingarm, which gives the motorcycle a distinctive look and leaves one side of the rear wheel exposed.
847cc Three-Cylinder Engine Produces 148.5bhp

The Zontes ZT853-R is powered by an 847cc, three-cylinder engine that generates maximum power of 148.5bhp at 12,500rpm and peak torque of 90Nm at 9,000rpm. This engine output positions the motorcycle in a higher performance category compared to the existing ZT703-R.
Zontes has made some impressive claims regarding performance. According to the company, the ZT853-R can complete 0-100 kmph acceleration in just 2.8 seconds. Its claimed top speed is 280 kmph.
These figures make it an interesting contender in the high-performance naked motorcycle segment. However, real-world performance assessment will only be possible after a production model and independent testing.
Lightweight Aluminum Chassis and Kayaba Suspension
The Zontes ZT853-R has been developed on a new aluminum chassis. According to Zontes, its chassis weighs only 10 kg. It is equipped with an aluminum single-sided swingarm, which is part of the lightweight construction and premium hardware package.
Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable 43 mm Kayaba upside-down forks at the front. They feature DLC-coated stanchions and 115mm of suspension travel. The rear features an adjustable monoshock with a stated shock stroke of 58mm.
The fully adjustable suspension setup gives riders the flexibility to customize settings to suit different road conditions and riding preferences.

Brembo Brakes and Six-Axis IMU-Based Electronics

Braking hardware is an important part of the Zontes ZT853-R’s premium package. The motorcycle features twin 310mm floating disc brakes and Brembo M4.30 calipers at the front.
The electronic safety package includes a six-axis IMU that supports cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control. Additionally, the motorcycle features four-level adjustable anti-wheelie control.
Other electronic features include launch control, ride-by-wire throttle, cruise control, and a bidirectional quickshifter. The quickshifter allows riders to perform upshifts and downshifts without operating the clutch lever.
With such a comprehensive electronic package, the ZT853-R focuses not only on straight-line performance, but also on a controlled and performance-oriented riding experience.
Intelligent Control System 4.0 and Digital Display

In terms of technology, Zontes has equipped the ZT853-R with Intelligent Control System 4.0. This system supports NFC-based unlocking, which serves as an alternative to conventional key-based access.
The motorcycle features a horizontally positioned digital instrument display. It displays riding information, along with navigation and a stopwatch function.
Additional connectivity features are available through the Zontes 2.0 smartphone app. Riders can check vehicle-related details like tire pressure and motorcycle location on the app.
These connected features make the ZT853-R a technology-focused proposition distinct from traditional performance naked bikes.
Zontes ZT853-R India Launch: What to Expect?

Currently, Zontes has not officially confirmed the ZT853-R’s India launch, pricing, or availability. Its showcase at EICMA 2026 is an important development for the international product lineup, but whether the motorcycle will be introduced in the Indian market is not yet clear.
If the Zontes ZT853-R comes to India in the future, its 148.5bhp engine, Brembo braking hardware, and advanced electronics will position it in the premium performance naked motorcycle category. However, pricing and local market strategy will play an important role in determining its competitiveness.
